About

Jonathan Wittmaier is a Korean American writer, educator, and artist. A transracial adoptee—he was born in Seoul, South Korea and was raised in southern New Jersey. His writing has appeared or is forthcoming in The Museum of Americana: A Literary Review, Water~Stone Review, Philadelphia Stories Magazine, The Rising Phoenix Review, WordCity Literary Journal, and Weave (a zine created by PNW Kundiman).

Winner of the Creative Writing Award for Dramatic Writing (Adelphi 2018). He has taught English and creative writing at Suffolk County Community College and Adelphi University, where he also served as the manager of the academic library.

He recently moved to the Pacific Northwest from New York City to help open a dessert shop with his wife. He currently serves as Manager of the Student Resource Network at Seattle University.
